A Tech Blog about nerd stuff

I’m a fourteen year veteran of the IT and infrastructure space both on premise and in the cloud. I spent many years providing infrastructure support for various IT silos. E-mail, Windows, Linux, Virtualization, Networking… I’ve done it all for traditional IT. Recently I have jumped to strictly managing infrastructure and tools hosted in cloud environments, primarily AWS, to provide SaaS offerings to customers. I spent a lot of my early career doing things by hand. Now I automate. Always learning, always growing, Always tinkering

What is the point of this site?

I started a small homelab in my basement years ago that has been built and rebuilt many times over. My recent projects focus on Home Automation, Infrastructure as Code, and Kubernetes. I come from a classic IT background and have been recently pushing myself to learn more and more DevOps principles. Automate always in all ways. My homelab currently is managed (mostly) with Ansible and Terraform/Terragrunt.

This site will be a place to document and share my ramblings on tech, homelabbing, and learning.
